Brooklyn's finest Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z teamed up on stage for Video Music Box creator Ralph McDaniels birthday party in 96.
"Every year, I had a birthday party, I wanted to get B.I.G. to host [it], but really I wanted him to perform,” McDaniels explained. “Jay-Z came with the whole Roc-A-Fella crew and they got on stage. I told the DJ, 'If Biggie gets on stage, play a Biggie song and we'll get him to perform.' DJ Ace threw on 'Get Money' and the whole crowd went crazy. B.I.G. looks at me like, 'I guess I'm supposed to perform now, right?' Jay-Z plays hypeman to B.I.G. on 'Get Money.' That just rang through the hood forever."

For his 44th birthday and to honor the 6 year anniversary of  PIMP C's death, Jay Z release the Tom Ford remix. The song has a never-heard-before verse by PIMP C. Stuff like this scares me because I think the artist is somewhere alive and the government just playing around. 

I don't care for it though. I like the song. I like PIMP C verse. Together, I don't like. I couldn't see PIMP C on a beat like Tom Fords.

So how much connect do you need to get a unheard PIMP C verse?

North Carolina's 9th Wonder talks about the production of The Black Album's "Threat" and the pressure Jay Z put on him to create. Jay Z gave 9th a R-Kelly sample and told him "I'll be back in 25 minutes".
