#ThrowbackThursday - Kanye West Grammys Speech

Kanye has been ranting lately on how Yeezus only have two Grammy nominations this year. So because of that, I found Kanye's first Grammy speech. He wins his first Grammmy back in 2005 for his album College Dropout. This was a great speech from Kanye. Honestly I think Kanye is the same person today as he was in 2005.

Video: Kanye West Ft. Paul Wall, GLC & T.I. - Drive Slow

Released on 6/6/06 and the last single on Kanye West's Late Registraion album. "Drive Slow" featuring Houstons' Paul Wall and GLC, and ATL's T.I. with back up vocals from Tony "Penafire" Williams. The song contains a sample from R&B songwriter Hank Crawford's cover of the song "Wildfire"  

The video was directed by Hype Williams. I haven't seen 'Hype Williams Presents' in a good while.

Kanye West did an interview with Power 99 in Philly. In the newly released portion from the sit down, we can watch West speak on plans for his next album, Cruel Winter and Watch The Throne 2. You can learn from this interview as Kanye West talks about hip hop influences, drinking from the "goodwater", and his views on fashion.

Video: Kanye West - Bound 2

Kontroversial Kanye West strikes again and releases a steamy video with his love, Kim Kardashian for Yeezus' "Bound 2". The video features Kardashian riding on West's motorcycle, plus a simulated sex scene as wild horses run in the background. I love this sample very much. "Bound 2" has Charlie Wilson sampling Ponderosa Twins Plus One's "Bound".

Video: Pusha T Ft. Rick Ross - Hold On

I know a Kanye beat when I hear one. Kanye West and Hudson Mohawke produced this deep hit "Hold On" Pusha T and Rick Ross hook up in this gloomy visual speaking to the hustlers in the streets. The video is directed by Dre Films, of course.




Pusha and Ross are a great match together. They compliment each other well.

Fans got a quite surprise at the 2nd annual Odd Future carnival. Kanye took a break in between his Yeezus Tour to be a Tyler's guest and perform "New Slaves" and "Late" off of 2005 album, Late Registration.
