Today's Music Submission is from the NC Artist Slum Pritt for his mixtape, Awake For the Nightmare. Its a tale of modern day society and the problems that come up for today's black male. The lyrics include stories from Pritt's living experiences and growth. Collaborations include: Tru Chemistreee, HP tha Hybrid, Joe Burn Em, Shade Cobain and re:source. Awake For the Nightmare will release February 4,2014. The LP includes 13 tracks but below you get to preview 4 of them. My favorite would be "Makebeleevas." 
 The album title has a few meanings: 1) the rap game is about to be awake to this nightmare, the nightmare being me 2) The type of person i am, young, black, militant with my head on straight, is a nightmare to Amerikkka, 3) Society is a nightmare itself, with all the senseless killings and disgusting stories you hear everyday, and we all are awake for it

Bricksquad affiliate YG Hootie and Kendrick Lamar use to go to the same high school in Compton, CA.  Years later, Hootie links up with Lamar for his new single, "2 Presidents". Hootie upcoming project Destroy and Rebuild, February 2.
