Been seeing the artists use the wrong words for their art, so lets inform ...
Single - typical one song you're pushing out. Back in the day, sometimes it was two songs.
EP - (extended play) a small collection of music. Typical 25 minutes = around 4 songs
LP - (Long play) bigger than an EP around about 40 minutes = 10 songs
Album - Promoted and sold where Neilson Soundscan can keep track of. Albums are controlled by record companies.
Mixtapes - underground. Free. To gain fan base.
